#INDIGENOUS #VIDEOGAMES: A summary of what’s out there from 2016

SPED-UP Gameplay of Ienién:te and the Peacemaker’s Wampum, the game created by participants of Skins 4.0 (June 2013) from Obx Labs on Vimeo.

Indigenous video games to watch out for is an older article posted on CBC in April of 2016 that was originally posted on Muskrat Magazine, a great online magazine that focuses entirely on Indigenous content.

This article is a great summary of some of the key people working in the area of Indigenous video games. What I appreciate most about video games produced by Indigenous leads is that they lean towards using gamification to educate about social justice issues turning away from the sex-drugs -violence that video games are often known for.
